Cucumber Gin Cooler – The cocktail for vegan trendsetters

For this reason, our recipe recommendation for you today is the Cucumber Gin Cooler, a cocktail that tastes delicious and helps you stay healthy.

Our recipe is a modified version of the classic Gin Tonic long drink that—thanks to fresh cucumber and lime slices—contains all the ingredients to become the new fashion drink not just for vegetarians and vegans.

Fruit in cocktails, such as limes slices in the Caipirinha cocktail or lime juice in the Tequila Sunrise cocktail, is nothing new. Vegetables in a cocktail, however, are yet another story. Rest assured that not only you will be enthusiastic about this unorthodox ingredient but also your friends. The cucumber slices, in particular, give our Cucumber Gin Cooler, the final touch.

This vegetarian-vegan drinking delight is very easy to prepare, even for unexperienced cocktail makers who will be able to mix these ingredients and produce great results. Ingredients (measures for 1 cocktail)

– 1/8 cup Gin
– 1/5 cup Vermouth
– 1/5 cup Sprite (or optionally Bitter Lemon)
– Ice cubes or crushed Ice
– 1/2 limes
– 1 cucumber (cut into 5 thin slices)
– 1 stem of dill (optionally another stem for decoration)
– Dry white wine to top off

 

Preparation

Put the cucumber slices and one dill stem into the mixer and douse the vegetables with gin and vermouth, then mix them all together.

Fill a second glass half with ice cubes or crushed ice and then add the cucumber-alcohol-mix slowly to it.

Then, press the juice out of half a or a whole lime into the glass and add sprite to it.

Finally, top off the glass with dry white wine of your choice and decorate the finished cocktail as you like.
